Site Speed Optimization — Cut Load Time From 8 Seconds to Under 2
Slow sites lose 53% of mobile visitors before the page even finishes loading. We audit your site, identify the actual bottlenecks (not the ones the audit tools tell you about), and rebuild what needs rebuilding so your site loads in under 2 seconds.

Why your site is slow (and why PageSpeed Insights does not really tell you)
Google PageSpeed Insights gives you a score and a list of vague recommendations. 'Reduce JavaScript execution time.' 'Eliminate render-blocking resources.' 'Optimize images.' That is useful as a starting point but useless if you do not have a developer to translate those into actual changes.
The reality is that most slow sites are slow for one of six concrete reasons: unoptimized images uploaded at 4000px wide for a 400px display, render-blocking third-party scripts (review widgets, chat tools, analytics installed in the wrong place), a bloated theme on WordPress or Shopify, an outdated PHP/Liquid version on the host, missing CDN configuration, or — most often — all of the above stacking on each other.
And the fix is not 'install a speed plugin.' Speed plugins help on the margin but they cannot fix architectural problems. The real fix is identifying what is actually slow on YOUR site and fixing it — which is what we do.
Our 3-phase speed optimization
We start with a forensic audit — not just PageSpeed Insights, but real loading-waterfall analysis on actual devices (slow 3G, mid-tier Android, desktop). We document every single resource that delays the first paint or blocks interactivity.
Then we fix everything we can without rebuilding: image compression and proper sizing, render-blocking script reordering, CDN configuration, caching headers, font loading strategy, third-party script gating. This covers 70% of speed problems on most sites.
If your site is so architecturally slow that fixes alone will not get you under 2 seconds (common on bloated WordPress themes, old Shopify themes, or page builders like Elementor), we quote a partial rebuild separately. You get the audit either way and decide whether to proceed with the rebuild.
- 1Day 1-2: Forensic loading-waterfall audit on 3 device profiles + report drafted.
- 2Day 3: Audit report delivered with specific fix list + impact estimates.
- 3Day 4-5: Image optimization, render-blocking script reorder, CDN + caching config.
- 4Day 6-7: Re-audit + before/after comparison. Final report.
- 5Optional: rebuild quote if architectural changes are needed.
What's included
- Loading-waterfall audit on 3 device profiles (mobile, mid-tier Android, desktop)
- Specific fix list with impact estimate per change
- Image compression + proper srcset generation for all images
- Render-blocking script reorder (analytics, chat, reviews)
- CDN configuration (Cloudflare or whatever your host supports)
- Cache-control headers tuned for your platform
- Font loading strategy (preload, font-display:swap)
- Third-party script gating (load on interaction where appropriate)
- Before/after PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, and real-device measurements
- Recommended changes if a full rebuild would help — separate quote
“Our Shopify store loaded in 9 seconds on mobile. After their audit and fixes, we hit 1.8 seconds. Mobile conversion went up 23% the next month. The audit paid for itself within a week.”
Common questions
- We can get you significant gains on any platform — even the closed ones — through image optimization, script gating, and CDN setup. The ceiling is lower on Wix and Squarespace than on a self-hosted site, but going from 8 seconds to 3 seconds is achievable on every platform we have audited.
- Average improvement across the audits we have done is 4x faster (e.g., 8 seconds → 2 seconds on mobile). Sites that start under 4 seconds usually end up under 1.5 seconds. Sites that start over 10 seconds need partial rebuilds to hit the 2-second target.
- We do not guarantee a specific PageSpeed number because the score is driven partly by factors outside our control (your hosting plan, traffic spikes during testing, the version of PageSpeed Insights at the time). We guarantee the audit identifies every meaningful slowdown, and we deliver the fixes documented in the audit. Most sites move into the 80-95 PageSpeed range after our work.
- We tell you that in the audit and quote the rebuild separately. The audit price ($399) is yours regardless — you get the report and can take it to any developer. If you want us to do the rebuild, we credit the $399 toward the rebuild cost.
- Yes — Core Web Vitals (the metrics Google uses to grade speed) are a confirmed ranking factor since 2021, and the 2026 algorithm weighs them more for local search. The lift is more visible for mobile traffic since most CWV failures are mobile-specific.
- The fixes we make are one-time and persistent — they will not regress on their own. What CAN regress is if you add new plugins, swap themes, or upload unoptimized images yourself. We document everything in the audit so you know what to avoid. If you want ongoing speed monitoring, that is a Care Package add-on.
