About Instagram Grid Maker.

Turn One Photo Into a Seamless Instagram Grid

Drop in a single image and this tool crops it to your grid's exact aspect ratio, then cuts it into equal tiles on a canvas — 3×3, 3×2, 1×3, or any layout up to 6×6. You get every tile as an individual square (1:1) or portrait (4:5) post, sized to Instagram's own resolution limits, packed into one ZIP.

The tricky part of a grid post is the posting order, so we solve it for you. Instagram pushes each new post to the top-left of your profile, so the tiles are numbered — and named — in reverse: the bottom-right tile is "1" (post it first), the top-left is last. Upload them lowest number first and the picture reassembles across your feed. A HOW-TO-POST.txt inside the ZIP spells out the exact order.

Everything runs on a canvas in your browser. Your photo is never uploaded, so nothing hits a server and there's no watermark. One honest caveat: Instagram compresses images on its side, so the final feed will look slightly softer than the tiles you download — that's Instagram, not the crop.

Common Use Cases

  • Panorama feed banner: Split a wide landscape or cityscape across a 3×1 or 3×2 row so it stretches over your profile.
  • Full-picture reveal: Turn one hero image into a 3×3 grid that shows as a single large picture on your profile page.
  • Product or menu drops: Break a flat-lay or menu board into tidy tiles that read as one connected block.
  • Event and launch teasers: Post a countdown image piece by piece so the full artwork snaps together once the last tile goes up.
  • Portrait carousels: Use 4:5 tiles to keep more of a tall photo instead of cropping it hard to squares.
  • Portfolio moodboards: Arrange a signature shot as a grid centerpiece with room for regular posts around it.

Privacy: This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your image is cropped and sliced locally with the Canvas API and zipped on your device — it never leaves your computer, and nothing is uploaded, stored, or sent to any server.
