You choose the spelling. The everyday forms (Alpha, Juliet, X-ray) are the default; switch to the official ICAO/NATO written forms (Alfa, Juliett, Xray) with one tap. The decoder is deliberately forgiving — it accepts either spelling, common aviation number words like "niner" and "tree," and simple punctuation names — and it flags any words it can't place instead of dropping them silently. A full A–Z, 0–9, and punctuation reference table sits right below the converter.

Honest caveat: this covers A–Z, the digits 0–9, and common punctuation. Multi-word punctuation names such as "Question Mark" spell out correctly but don't round-trip cleanly back through the decoder, and the tool is a spelling aid rather than a complete radio-procedure reference.
