Hide a Secret Message Inside an Image

Drop in any image, type your message, and this tool tucks the text into the image's pixels using LSB (least-significant-bit) steganography — nudging the lowest bit of each red, green, and blue value so the picture looks identical but now carries your words. Download the result as a PNG and share it anywhere.

Add a password and the message is encrypted with AES-256-GCM (PBKDF2-SHA-256, 310,000 iterations, a fresh salt per message) before it's hidden, so even someone who extracts the bits gets nothing without the password. Everything runs in your browser — the image and the message never touch a server, and there's no signup.

One honest caveat: plain LSB steganography is concealment, not encryption. Anyone with a stego tool can read an unprotected message back, and steganalysis software can flag that something is hidden. It also only survives lossless PNG — re-saving the image as JPEG, resizing, or running it through a chat app that recompresses will erase the message. For anything sensitive, use the password so the payload is genuinely encrypted, and always share the original PNG.
