Pick a passage — short, medium, or long — or paste your own text, then start typing. The timer starts on your very first keystroke and stops the instant you finish, so there is no head start and no dead time. Every character you type is graded live: correct keys turn solid, mistakes flash red, and a cursor marks exactly where you are.

Your speed is shown as net words per minute, the honest measure that treats five characters as one word and then subtracts your uncorrected mistakes — so hammering keys blindly will not inflate your score. Alongside it you get your accuracy percentage, the elapsed time, and a running error count, updated as you go and locked in when you finish.

Because it runs entirely in your browser, there is nothing to install, no account to create, and no upload. That also means results are not saved between sessions, so there is no history or leaderboard — just a fast, clean way to measure and practice. Note that we grade the raw characters you type; the tool does not detect your keyboard layout, so an unusual layout is compared literally to the passage.
