Screen Recorder
Record your screen, a window, or a browser tab — with optional mic and system audio — entirely in your browser, no install or watermark.
Record your screen
Capture a screen, a window, or a browser tab — with optional microphone and system audio. Everything is recorded and saved right here in your browser.
Tip: to capture sound from a video, share the specific browser tab and keep System / tab audio on — the “Share tab audio” box appears in the picker.
Nothing is uploaded — the recording never leaves your device.
About Screen Recorder.
Record Your Screen in the Browser — No Install, No Watermark, No Upload
CipherForces Screen Recorder captures your entire screen, a single application window, or one browser tab directly from the page. It uses the browser's built-in Screen Capture API (getDisplayMedia) and MediaRecorder, so there is nothing to download and nothing to sign up for. You pick the source in the standard browser picker, hit record, and your clip is assembled locally in this tab.
Because every frame is encoded on your own device, your recording never touches a server — no upload, no processing queue, and no watermark stamped across the corner. The result is a clean MP4 (or WebM, depending on your browser) that you download with one click. There are no time limits imposed by the tool itself; you can pause and resume mid-take, and the live timer tracks exactly how long you have been recording.
Audio is handled properly. Turn on System / tab audio to capture the sound from a video or app, flip on the Microphone switch to narrate, or use both at once — the two sources are mixed together through the Web Audio API so your voiceover and the on-screen sound both make it into the file, something a naive recorder that keeps only the first audio track gets wrong.
Common Use Cases
- Software demos & tutorials: Walk through a product or workflow with your voice over the top, then share the MP4 with a client or teammate.
- Bug reports: Capture a glitch as it happens — a reproducible recording is worth a thousand back-and-forth messages.
- Meeting & webinar clips: Record a browser tab so you keep a copy of a presentation or call for later reference.
- Feedback & reviews: Screen-record a design or document while talking through your notes instead of typing them out.
- Lessons & onboarding: Produce short how-to videos for students or new hires without buying recording software.
- Gameplay & presentations: Grab a quick clip of anything on screen, complete with system audio.
Key Features
- Screen, window, or tab: The browser's own picker lets you choose exactly what gets captured.
- Microphone & system audio: Record either, both, or neither — mixed into a single audio track.
- Pause & resume: Take a break mid-recording without starting a new file.
- Live preview & timer: See what you are capturing and how long it has been running.
- Instant playback & download: Review the clip in-page, then save it as MP4 or WebM.
Privacy: All recording and encoding happens locally in your browser. Your screen, your voice, and the finished file never leave your device — nothing is uploaded to any server.
