Pick MP3 (small, plays everywhere) with a bitrate from 128 to 320 kbps, or WAV (uncompressed, lossless) when you plan to edit or archive what comes out.

Everything runs on your own machine using a WebAssembly build of FFmpeg. Your video is never uploaded, so there is no server-imposed size cap and nothing to leak. Preview the extracted audio in place, then download it.

One honest caveat: the first time you use it, your browser downloads the roughly 25 MB audio engine from a CDN, so the first run needs a connection and a few seconds — after that it is cached. And it can only extract sound that is actually in the file; a silent screen recording has nothing to pull out.
